1 ST Day: Tbilisi
Arrival to Tbilisi. Transfer to the hotel. Tbilisi city tour.
City Tour in Tbilisi. Tbilisi today is one of the most modern and cosmopolitan cities in the Caucasus. Since that time the city has been destroyed and rebuilt on nearly 30 different occasions following a long history of fighting off Persian, Arab, Turkmen, Mongol, Turk and, finally, Russian invaders. We begin our tour with a visit to Old Tbilisi town with its "Sulfur Baths" district, Georgian Orthodox and Armenian Gregorian churches, and a Jewish synagogue and a Turkish mosque side by side, reflecting Tbilisi's acceptance and tolerance of different religions. Then we'll continue our sightseeing with a visit to the Fortress of Narikala and its St. Nikolas Church. We can walk up the stairs of the fortress in order to get a "bird-eye" view of the magical city of Tbilisi. We’ll stroll down Rustaveli Avenue, the main thoroughfare running east through the city. Overnight in Tbilisi.
2 ND Day: Tbilisi-Mtskheta-Tbilisi
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mtksheta. The Historical Monuments of Mtskheta are located in the cultural landscape at the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari Rivers, in Central-Eastern Georgia, some 20km northwest of Tbilisi in Mtskheta. The property consists of the Jvari Monastery, the Svetitstkhoveli Cathedral and the Samtavro Monastery.Mtskheta was the ancient capital of Kartli, the East Georgian Kingdom from the 3rd century BC to the 5th century AD, and was also the location where Christianity was proclaimed as the official religion of Georgia in 337. To date, it still remains the headquarters of the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church. Uplistsikhe – is an amazing and ancient city, carved in the rock in the 7th century. In the evening return to Tbilisi. Overnight at hotel.
3 RD Day. Breakfast at the hotel. Sighnaghi
Breakfast at the hotel. Kakheti - the area of the vine. Worldwide, there are 2,000 varieties of grapes, of which 500 varieties grow here in Kakheti. Drive tobeautiful city of love "Sighnaghi.""Sighnaghi" – is the city of love. Is small beautiful town in eastern Kakheti. Famous for its eponymous castle, which is included in the list of the most famous and largest forts in Georgia. 18th century. Descend to the sources of St. Nino (walking 30 min walking). "Bodbe" - and the monastery complex of St. George's Episcopal.In the evening return to Tbilisi. Overnight at the hotel.
4Th Day. Meeting at the border – Transfer to Yerevan
After breakfast drive to Georgia- Armenia border Sadakhlo
5th Day. Garni – Geghard
Breakfast at hotel. Trip to Garni. The Sun Temple of Garni is one of the most ancient structures on Armenian territory. The Garni architectural complex was the summer residence of Armenian kings. The Gerhard Monastery is a fantastic sample of medieval Armenian architecture. The most original parts of the complex are two churches in the depth of the rock. Back to the hotel.
6th Day. Tsakhkadzor – Sevan.
Breakfast at hotel.Trip to Tsakhkadzor sport complex, visiting Kecharis Monastery; cable car (funicular). On the way back to Yerevan visiting Lake Sevan, “the pearl of Armenia”, which is situated at an altitude of almost 2000 m. above sea level.Visiting Churches St. Karapet and Arakelots on the peninsula. Back to Yerevan.
7Th Day. Departure.
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the border. Meeting on Sadakhlo border. Drive to Tbilisi. Overnight at the hotel
8Th Day. Departure.
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Tbilisi international airport
