Detailed itinerary 


Day 1: Arrival. Yerevan City Tour
Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan. Transfer to the hotel. 
Visiting Matenadaran.

Yerevan is the pink “pearl” of Armenia. This beautiful European city is mostly built by different shades of pink stone called “tuf” quarried in Armenia. Founded in 782B.C. Yerevan is reputedly one of the oldest cities in the world to have been continuously inhabited. The city is located under the gaze of the biblical Mount Ararat where the Noah’s ark landed. We start our exploration with the Republic Square with it magnificent buildings enhanced by singing fountains. Walking down the Abovyan Street, one of the oldest streets in Yerevan which was on the Silk Road,we continue to Northern Avenue, Opera House, Cascade, Grand Bazaar.

Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 2: Yerevan /Garni/Geghard/Ararat Brandy Factory/Yerevan

Leaving the frantic pace of the city we are heading towards Garni Pagan Temple, the only Hellenistic Temple in the Caucasus. The Pagan Temple of Garni is the only pagan temple currently standing in Armenia. Gracing the hillside the pagan temple was dedicated to the God of Sun, Mithra. It was built in 77A.D. Visiting a local house in Garni village. Traditional Armenian bread-lavash making in tonir (underground earth-stove). 
Proceed to Geghard Monastery (UNESCO) carved out of a huge monolithic rock. Geghard is an incredible ancient Armenian monastery, partly carved out of a mountain. It is said that the Holy Lance that pierced the body of Christ was kept here. The architectural forms and the decoration of Geghard's rock premises show that Armenian builders could not only create superb works of architecture out of stone, but also hew them in solid rock. Visiting Yerevan Brandy Factory. Back to the hotel. Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 3: Historical museum/Echmiadzin /the Cathedral TREASURY / ZVARTNOTC / the market of arts "Vernisazh"

Breakfast at hotel. Starting the day from Sightseeing tour across Yerevan.Opera house, Republic Square, Northen Avenue…Visit of the Historical State museum of Armenia. This museum contains the rich collection of artifacts covering rather big period of time from the Stone Age (about 1 million years ago) till our time. Visitors can see unique proofs of cultural relationships of the ancient Armenians  with such countries as Egypt, Iran, Assyria, Rome, Byzantium, etc.
Next stop is Etchmiadzin Cathedral - the mother church of the Armenian Apostolic Church, located in the city of Vagharshapat/Etchmiadzin. Visit of the museum of treasures in the Cathedral. As well, you have a visit to Saint Hripsime Church - a seventh Armenian Apostolic century church. Not to be missed visit to “Machanents” Art and Tourism Center.  Proceed to the Ruins of Zvartnots- the 7th century architecture listed as a UNESCO World Heritage. Come back to Yerevan. Return to hotel.

Day 4: Khor Virap / Noravank / Areni
Breakfast at hotel.Drive to Khor Virap - an Armenian monastery located in the Ararat plain in Armenia. Khor Virap's notability as a monastery and pilgrimage site is attributed to the fact that Gregory the Illuminator, was initially imprisoned here for 14 years by King Tiridates III of Armenia. Visit to Areni wine factory with wine degustation.  Lunch at the restaurant, where you will taste Armenian "qyufta" with wheat and mushrooms. Qyufta is a dish which is prepared with the meatball is ground or minced meat rolled into a small ball, sometimes along with other ingredients, such as bread crumbs, minced onion, eggs, butter and seasoning.  Return to Yerevan. Free time for shopping in Armenian traditional market. Return to hotel

Day 5: Yerevan/Lake Sevan/Dilijan (overnight)
We tour around the Lake Sevan (60km far from Yerevan), a huge mountainous lake which takes up almost 5% of the country’s surface area. It’s one of the most beautiful alpine lakes in the world situated at 1900m above sea level . On a clear and sunny day, the water is often deep turquoise color. Then we continue to Dilijan National Park.

Many poets used to say, "If there are woods, mountains, streams and mineral waters in paradise, it must be like Dilijan”. As a climatic balneal health centre of medium-mountain zone, Dilijan is characterized by mild, moderate warm summer, sunny warm winter and dry warm weather during the whole year. Take a stroll in the most beautiful part of the town, Old Dilijan Complex. Here we experience the town as it was in the 19th century. We visit Goshavank fairy-tale monastery set amidst flower-filled meadows. Here you’ll see the most beautiful Armenian stone-cross from 1291, an exquisite needlework masterpiece. Hotel check in. Overnight in Dilijan.

Day 6: Dilijan/Haghpat/Tbilisi - GEORGIA
Driving through the Russian Old believers’ villages and picturesque Canyon of Debed River we visit the Monastery of Haghpat dating back to the 10th century. It’s a perfect example of medieval Armenian architecture. Being astonishingly well preserved with its frescoes, “lace” stone-crosses, inscriptions and bas-relieves it became the first Armenian architectural monument to be included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Drive to Sadakhlo Georgian – Armenian border. Change buses and guides. Continue to Tbilisi. City Tour in Tbilisi. Tbilisi today is one of the most modern and cosmopolitan cities in the Caucasus. Since that time the city has been destroyed and rebuilt on nearly 30 different occasions following a long history of fighting off Persian, Arab, Turkmen, Mongol, Turk and, finally, Russian invaders. We begin our tour with a visit to Old Tbilisi town with its "Sulfur Baths" district, Georgian Orthodox and Armenian Gregorian churches, and a Jewish synagogue and a Turkish mosque side by side, reflecting Tbilisi's acceptance and tolerance of different religions. Then we'll continue our sightseeing with a visit to the Fortress of Narikala and its St. Nikolas Church. We can walk up the stairs of the fortress in order to get a "bird-eye" view of the magical city of Tbilisi. We’ll stroll down Rustaveli Avenue, the main thoroughfare running east through the city. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 7: Mtskheta/Uplistsikhe/Tbilisi 
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mtksheta. The Historical Monuments of Mtskheta are located in the cultural landscape at the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari Rivers, in Central-Eastern Georgia, some 20km northwest of Tbilisi in Mtskheta. The property consists of the Jvari Monastery, the Svetitstkhoveli Cathedral and the Samtavro Monastery.Mtskheta was the ancient capital of Kartli, the East Georgian Kingdom from the 3rd century BC to the 5th century AD, and was also the location where Christianity was proclaimed as the official religion of Georgia in 337. To date, it still remains the headquarters of the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church. Uplistsikhe – is an amazing and ancient city, carved in the rock in the 7th century. In the evening return to Tbilisi. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: Sighnaghi/Bodbe/Tbilisi
Breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel. Kakheti - the area of the vine. Worldwide, there are 2,000 varieties of grapes, of which 500 varieties grow here in Kakheti. Drive to beautiful city of love "Sighnaghi.""Sighnaghi" – is the city of love. Is small beautiful town in eastern Kakheti. Famous for its eponymous castle, which is included in the list of the most famous and largest forts in Georgia. 18th century. Descend to the sources of St. Nino (walking 30 min walking). "Bodbe" - and the monastery complex of St. George's Episcopal.In the evening return to Tbilisi. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Ananuri/Jinvali/Gudauri/Kazbegi/Tbilisi
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast drive by Georgian Military Road to Ananuri monastery fortress, which is situated on Zhinvali reservoir. We will see Georgian famous ski resort – Gudauri, which is situated at an altitude of 2195m above sea level. After Gudauri we will go to Stepantsminda- famous climbing resort, located on amazing on mountains of Great Caucasus. After Stepantsminda we finally arrive in Kazbegi. Tour in Kazbegi and way back to Tbilisi.

Day 10 : Departure.
Transfer to airport. Departure
